Copying and Pasting cs Code
In cs, like in almost any computer programming language, reading data from a file can be tricky. You add extra lines of code to tell the computer what to do. Sometimes you can copy and paste these lines from other peoples’ code.
For example, you can follow the pattern in this listing: void Awake()
{
// have we already shown this once?
if(alreadyShownThisSession)
{
StartGame();
}
else
{
alreadyShownThisSession = true;
// Check player prefs for show at start preference
if (PlayerPrefs.HasKey(showAtStartPrefsKey))
{
showAtStart = PlayerPrefs.GetInt(showAtStartPrefsKey) == 1;
}
// set UI toggle to match the existing UI preference
showAtStartToggle.isOn = showAtStart;
// show the overlay info or continue to play the game
if (showAtStart)
{
ShowLaunchScreen();
}
else
{
StartGame ();
}
}
}
{
// have we already shown this once?
if(alreadyShownThisSession)
{
StartGame();
}
else
{
alreadyShownThisSession = true;
// Check player prefs for show at start preference
if (PlayerPrefs.HasKey(showAtStartPrefsKey))
{
showAtStart = PlayerPrefs.GetInt(showAtStartPrefsKey) == 1;
}
// set UI toggle to match the existing UI preference
showAtStartToggle.isOn = showAtStart;
// show the overlay info or continue to play the game
if (showAtStart)
{
ShowLaunchScreen();
}
else
{
StartGame ();
}
}
}
