Copying and Pasting cs Code

In cs, like in almost any computer programming language, reading data from a file can be tricky. You add extra lines of code to tell the computer what to do. Sometimes you can copy and paste these lines from other peoples’ code.

For example, you can follow the pattern in this listing:

     static void ConvertScripts(List scriptPathList)
     {
         bool ignoreWarningIsLogged = false;

         foreach (string script in scriptPathList)
         {
             if (script.Contains("PhotonNetwork")) //Don't convert this file (and others)
             {
                 if (!ignoreWarningIsLogged)
                 {
                     ignoreWarningIsLogged = true;
                     Debug.LogWarning("Conversion to PUN ignores all files with \"PhotonNetwork\" in their file-path.\nCheck: " + script);
                 }
                 continue;
             }
             if (script.Contains("Image Effects"))
             {
                 continue;
             }

             ConvertToPhotonAPI(script);
         }

         foreach (string script in scriptPathList)
         {
             AssetDatabase.ImportAsset(script, ImportAssetOptions.ForceUpdate);
         }
     }
